Ingredients:
2/3 c Light Brown Sugar
2/3 c Light Molasses
2 tsp. Ground Ginger
1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
1 tsp. Ground Cardamon
½ tsp. Ground Cloves
12 T Butter, cup up
2 Eggs
5 ½ c Flour
½ tsp. Baking Soda
Procedure:
Combine B. sugar, molasses & spices in 2 qt. saucepan.
Heat to boiling over med/high heat. Stir constantly.
Boil 1 minute.
Butter in mixing bowl & add hot sugar mixture.
Blend eggs
Separate:
Stir 2c flour & baking soda together.
Mix into wet mixture until dough is stiff.
Refrigerate overnight.
